And Then There Were None
A Theatre play
Because our authors understand high school students like nobody else, after the hit interactive show "The ABC Murders" in which Tales / Inc. broke records in theatre in education (with five consecutive seasons), Tales / Inc. returns with a performance dedicated to Agatha Christie's thriller "And Then There Were None", the world's best-selling murder mystery.
Talented actors, highly experienced in teaching and interactive theatre, come together to create this compelling adaptation of Agatha Christie's masterpiece, where your students will be part of the cast!
Plot: The play is a mystery novel by English writer, Agatha Christie, widely considered her masterpiece and described by her as the most difficult of her books to write.
In the novel, eight guests are lured into coming to an island under different pretexts. All have been complicit in the deaths of other human beings, but either escaped justice or committed an act that was not subject to legal sanction.
The guests and two servants are "charged" with their respective "crimes" by a recording after dinner the first night, and informed that they have been brought to the island to pay for their actions.
They are the only people on the island, and cannot escape due to the distance from the mainland and the inclement weather, and gradually all ten are killed in turn, each in a manner that seems to parallel the deaths in the nursery rhyme.

In this play, we mostly deal with the notion of ‘anti-values' Our experience in children’s theatre, and the harsh reality of our time when negative attitudes are increasingly commonplace, have persuaded us of the importance of discussing this concept as a means of creating awareness, sparking off debate during which children are able to reach a conclusion as to the truly important values to follow in life.
Some of the values this story is based are: friendship, generosity, gratitude, self-control,
sensitivity, perseverance, punctuality, thankfulness, sympathy, simplicity, prudence, honesty, skillfulness, solidarity, forgiveness, loyalty, family, control, fairness, discretion, affection, frankness, understanding, compassion, responsibility, empathy, patience.
These values are either implied or are embedded into the story.
